How to invite a teammate to your WildAlert team
In this tutorial, you will learn how to invite a colleague to your WildAlert team so they can collaborate on targets, projects, and notifications with you.
Inviting someone to your team is different from sharing a single target via a signed link. Team members can see every target your team has created, every project, and the Notifications tab on each target. Use a team invitation when you want someone to be a full collaborator; use the Share button (see Sharing Findings with Collaborators) when you only want to send a read-only view of one target.
Step 1 — Open Team Settings
Click your name (or profile photo) in the upper-right of the top banner and choose Team Settings from the dropdown.
Step 2 — Enter the invitee's email
In the Add Team Member section, type the email address of the person you want to invite.
Step 3 — Choose a role
Pick a role for the new member. Each role lists a short description below its name explaining what that role can do. Common roles include an administrator role (full edit access) and viewer-style roles (read-only). Choose the most restrictive role that still lets the person do their job — you can always change it later.
Step 4 — Send the invitation
Click Add. WildAlert emails an invitation to the address you entered. The recipient must click the link in that email and complete sign-up (or log in if they already have a WildAlert account) to accept.
Step 5 — Track pending invitations
Until the invitee accepts, they appear under Pending Team Invitations. From there you can Cancel an invitation if you sent it to the wrong address. The recipient can also re-trigger acceptance from the same email link.
Step 6 — Manage existing members
Once a member has accepted, they show up in the team roster. From the roster you can:
- Change a member's role using the role-management control next to their name.
- Remove a member from the team. Removed users lose access to all the team's targets, projects, and notifications.
- Leave the team yourself (you cannot leave if you are the only administrator).
